Avoid These Foods That Feed Depression
By Dr. Michael Cutler • Feb 25th, 2009 • Category: Allergies
Did you know that what you eat affects your mood and mental clarity? If you want to clean up your diet, clear your mind and climb out of the dumps, get rid of the following processed and refined foods:
- white bread
- white rice
- white sugar
- processed meats
- processed cheeses
- dairy milk
- juices that are not fresh juiced
- hydrogenated and trans-fatty foods such as burgers and fries
- processed and altered foods that come in a box, can, bottle or package—which include crackers, cookies, pudding, sodas, miracle whip, fruit snacks, nearly all cold cereals, microwave dinners, frozen pizzas and more.
So what healthy food items should you use to fill the void in your diet? I suggest you eat predominately whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, legumes and unprocessed whole grains. Plus, increase your omega-3 oil consumption for a healthier and happier outlook on life!
