Questions for the Doctor

Dear Dr. Cutler,
I am a 55-year-old female and I’ve been taking Ultimate pH Balance™ from True Health™ for three days. Am I getting enough calcium and magnesium from this product or do I need to take other supplements? Thank you! —Kristy C.
Dear Kristy,
Ultimate pH Balance™ has small amounts of calcium and magnesium which act to “buffer” acids that develop in the body when you experience stress, dehydration, muscle strain or acute illness such as the flu. Although there is likely some mineral replacement going on inside your body, it’s probably not enough for your needs.
Although I can’t act as your doctor, I would suggest a calcium and magnesium supplement. Consider taking goat whey powder called Capra Mineral Whey™—I’ve seen the positive clinical effects of this highly organic mineral powder repeatedly on extremely sick individuals.
The minerals in Capra Mineral Whey™ absorb more rapidly and completely than most products and help offset mineral loss. And it might also help build your bones.
But remember—fruits and veggies are high in calcium and magnesium, so you should eat them whenever possible. Plus, you should avoid cow’s milk because it increases mineral loss and is connected with higher levels of osteoporosis.
All the best!
