A new study may confirm what many individuals who suffer from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) have suspected for a long time—that stress can trigger their symptoms. According to Reuters, researchers in Canada surveyed 552 men and women with IBD every three months for one year. Among other things, participants reported symptom flare-ups, stressful events and perceived stress.
