Although ultrasound therapy has been commonly used to treat patients with leg ulcers, a new study that was published in the British Medical Journal has found that enthusiastic laughter, along with methods of inducing blood flow may be more effective remedies for the condition. "The key to care with this group of patients is to stimulate blood flow back up the legs to the heart. The best way to do that is with compression bandages and support stockings … coupled with advice on diet and exercise," lead researcher Andrea Nelson said.
