Natural Pasta With Marinara Sauce
By Dr. Michael Cutler • Jul 21st, 2010 • Category: Whole Food RecipesTry this wonderful variation of a favorite Italian dish that will inspire your family to request seconds… even thirds.
Natural Pasta With Marinara Sauce
1 zucchini
2 ½ cups sun-dried tomatoes
3 fresh tomatoes
2 Tbsp olive oil
¼ cup onion
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsp basil
2 Tbsp cilantro
2 Tbsp oregano
1 tsp salt
For your “noodles,” slice your zucchini into long thin strips with either a julienne or mandolin peeler, par boil the strips until they are tender and drain them. When they are drained you can use a fork to lightly separate the pieces and then set them aside.
To make your marinara sauce, place your sun-dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, olive oil, onion, garlic, basil, cilantro, oregano and salt in a blender and blend them until they’re smooth. Once the sauce is blended, heat it and pour it on top of your noodles. Now enjoy an Italian dish that’s not only delicious… but also good for your health.
